What should the inspection establish first?
Ask which component was checked, how the assessor distinguished possible paths and what can be confirmed without unnecessary removal. Do not remove tile, open walls or test a suspected wet electrical area yourself.
Stay away from the affected area, do not touch electrical switches, outlets or appliances near water, and call a professional. If anyone is in danger, leave the area and call 911.
What makes a replacement proposal understandable?
Request separate descriptions for correcting the source, assessing hidden layers, drying or removal, waterproofing work and finishes. EPA's flood guidance says heavily soaked material that cannot be cleaned and dried should be discarded, but that condition must not be presumed for this enclosure.
Does slow moisture mean an insurance result?
No. The insurance department describes typical distinctions between accidental damage and seepage, then says to read exclusions. Take the professional's findings to your own insurer; policy questions do not determine coverage. The cost page cannot quote shower reconstruction.
Calls go to voicemail, not a live provider. Messages are recorded and transcribed after the greeting. You can email us instead.
