Does the bid address the source separately?
Ask who would repair a drain, pipe, roof opening or waterproofing defect, and whether that charge is part of the restoration proposal. If another trade is required, it should not disappear inside an unspecified lump sum.
Can material items overlap?
Distinguish removal, drying, disposal, replacement and finish work. HomeAdvisor's national restoration rates are not the same product as the regional Save The Day removal and installation components. Ask whether a carpet or wood replacement line already includes another listed task. The site calculator is not a contract checklist.
What can a homeowner verify independently?
Use the California contractor lookup for a license status and ask the prospective provider about insurance for the proposed work. This publisher has not prequalified an individual contractor or evaluated a claim.
Calls go to voicemail, not a live provider. Messages are recorded and transcribed after the greeting. You can email us instead.
Free for homeowners. We may be paid for qualifying referral calls.
